Challenging conventional aesthetics, ROHRER FINE ART exhibits an
eclectic selection of pieces which create a dialog between African,
Asian, European, Oceanic and Pre-Columbian artworks, on the one
hand, and Contemporary, Impressionist, Latin American, Modern and
Post-War paintings and sculptures, on the other hand.
The gallery's first exhibition consisted of Impressionist paintings by
Monet, Renoir and Degas, alongside works by Fragonard, Tissot,
Laurencin and De Dreux. The gallery's second exhibition consisted of
cutting-edge photographs by the contemporary, Japanese artist Seiju
Toda. The powerful, minimalist aesthetic of these works was shown
in conjunction with antique and contemporary bamboo baskets.
Complementing these and future exhibitions, Rohrer Fine Art will host
lectures and other events which add an
educational component to the gallery's
mission.
